Pionus Parrots as Pets:-

Pionus are ideal parrot companions, they are relatively small, not noisy, they can be extremely playful and entertaining. Pionus aren't known for their talking ability, but many Pionus owners (ourselves included) have discovered just how their Pionus can talk!

Pionus parrots communicate more with the use of body language, they can easily let you know what they want without saying anything! They have the most beautiful big dark eyes, you can't help but fall in love with them! Sweet, amusing, loving and intelligent, these parrots love human interaction, yet at the same time they are happy to play with their toys if left alone for short periods. Pionus parrots have become more popular as pets in the UK because of their suitability to home life.

Diet:-

Pionus, like Amazons require a low fat diet, they eat the same diet as Amazons and tend not to be fussy eaters. Our two Pionus love pine nuts and Hawthorn berries. For diet information please refer to the Amazon info page .
