The Parrots Housed in The Aviary - Who They are and Their History!
King
of the aviary is Tosh the Bare eyed Cockatoo, a highly
intelligent bird that if likes you can trust with your life,
unfortunately if you happen to be male then forget it! Last time Tosh
escaped he was caught hiding in a ladies pram playing with her kid!!
If the lady hadn't come to us with the problem we would never have
known. The amazing thing is Tosh loved the baby.
Secondly
We have
Inca the Hawkheaded parrot. Inca was bred by myself and was my first
so I kept him (What a mistake) Inca is the hunter, Whenever he
escapes he lays in hiding waiting for any un-suspecting customer to
come along and then attacks!
Next
is Cody the LSC Cockatoo, a little like Tosh but a bit more snidy,
he pretends to like you then when he thinks he's got a real good
chance he will lean over and take a good chunk, usually out of
your face
.
Fat
Fred our Double Yellow Headed Amazon generally hates
everyone but thankfully fat and slow, so is easy to dodge when going
into the aviary. But he has a good side he sings wonderfully! His
favourite song starts off with "I'm so lonely... I'm so lonely"
(Fat Fred I wonder why?)
The
other two nightmares are only nightmares when they are together,
they are the Illigers Macaw and the Noble Macaw. They don't
as yet, manage to get out together. It has only ever been one at a
time and in turn they behave themselves (generally)
but together in
the aviary they can be like two homing missiles.
Last
but not least
is a Ducorps Cockatoo nothing wrong with him actually, he is just
awaiting a mate. I bought one for him once but I was horribly ripped
off by a so called breeder who sold me a cripple without me knowing
and it died through stress about a week later.
That's
about all I can manage for now. But there really is one
hundred and one stories concerning the Psycho Wing !!
Also known as The Parrot House Aviary!!
Cheers
for now
Richard
