A Warning to all Male Parrot Owners!!!

Everyone says that a parrot's for life
And I think we all can see
That if I compare my bird to my wife
Why that's the way it should be

I can honestly say, my parrot's my friend
With such a cheerful squawk
SHE doesn't drive me round the bend
With her constant gibberish talk

SHE never moans if I'm late at night
Just kisses me on the lips
And snuggles up close in the candle-light
Giving me sweet little nips.

Now that's not to say she's not got her faults
But I know I can live with them
It's only now & again she molts
And throws food out of her pen.

I'm happy to have the pebble-dashed look
All over the three-piece suite
And when she chewed my wife's favourite book
Well, I thought she looked SO sweet.

And it isn't her fault she likes to chew wood
Whatever my wife will say
And her screams just show that she's in the mood
To come out and have a play

So as we sit here together for life
I know I can honestly say
I love my parrot much more than my wife
Who, by the way, left yesterday.
