The Parrot Passions UK Community
Whatever you are looking for from a parrot community, whether you need advice, maybe you are purchasing your first parrot? Perhaps you just want a place to chat about your birds, or to help others, you will find our community a haven away from the world of bird politics.
There are so many parrot groups to join on the Internet, it's a difficult choice sometimes to find one you feel comfortable with. So, what's so different about ours you might be asking? Well, quite simply our members are a wonderful bunch of people, they are friendly, quite crazy and have an enthusiasum for life! Sure we talk about parrots, members help people new to parrot keeping, they give advice and love to chat about their birds.
They also enjoy getting to know "you" - the person behind the parrot, about your life, if you have had a bad day, or a good day for that matter! Our group has members of course, they have Yahoo ID's, but they are much more than that, they are friends. They care about people, about their parrots and will share your excitment when your parrot says "Hello" for the first time. Have you ever been in the position of being a newbie on a group? It can be daunting can't it? But on PPUK it won't be long before you feel right at home, a post will make you think "Oh I never knew that" or you will find yourself smiling, heck sometimes tears will fall with laughter.
Then of course there are times when people suffer a loss, when you lose a parrot you are devastated, absolutely heartbroken, well, they can't mend broken hearts but they will share your grief, many of them know only too well how it feels. They will try to cheer you up and offer support in anyway they can.
You see, at Parrot Passions UK we do care passionately about parrots, we are all eager to learn and do the best we can for our birds, but let's not forget, to do this, the people who love these parrots need to experience happiness too, parrots feel our stress, if you have had a bad day at work what better way to relax than to read what people in our community have been up to, join in the laughter while you relax with a glass of wine (or two!) You won't find a warmer place than right infront of your PC with your friends - friends who won't get bored of hearing about what your parrot did today, friends that won't ignore you if you are feeling down.
Some people find it hard to meet people who share their love of parrots, they have no clubs in their area and of course people with parrots need the company of others with the same passion for their birds. Ah, but you might be thinking, how can I do that when your community is based on the Internet? Simple! We meet! Throughout the year we meet up at shows and events, and dare we say, we have even been known to visit another member's home! We ourselves travelled over 400 miles, by train to make one such visit and had a wonderful day. We have also had member's join us at home for dinner and they travelled over 350 miles to taste our cooking - and survived!
If you enjoy a good laugh once in a while, fancy a chat about your parrot, or just have a moan about your day, this is the place for you. Quite simply Parrot Passions UK is a community of people sharing advice, chat, information and days out, but above all, we share friendship.
