Northern Parrots Provide Sponsorship towards a Macaw Research Trip

Early in 2003 we were pleased to be able to provide sponsorship towards a Macaw research trip to Costa Rica. This involves monitoring the nesting, breeding and feeding habits of the areas Macaws, including Red and Yellow or Scarlets and Great Green or Buffons, and contributing to a breeding and conservation program to help their recovery. Fiona Dear, a zoology graduate from Hertfordshire is spending 9 months working with Amigos de las Aves, a non-profit organisation based in Costa Rica.You can read some of her reports and see pictures here
