Always phone the practice and ask who the parrot vet is, confirm that he or she still works there and attempt to get an appointment with them, not with one of the cat and dog staff if at all possible and feasible. Any parrot that shows even subtle signs of disease is an emergency case to start with because they are so good at hiding disease for a long time and once they show it it is very late in the disease process so time is critical. DO NOT WAIT AND SEE WHETHER THE BIRD IS BETTER TOMORROW!!!!
